“The Edyth” Topping Out
Leave a CommentWe are honored to partner with The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, expanding its philanthropic efforts with the construction of “The Edyth.” Located in the heart of Winter Park, this landmark building will serve as the Foundation’s new home, a gathering place for the community, and will greatly expand the Foundation’s ability to carry out its efforts to support nonprofit organizations in Central Florida and beyond.
Recently, we celebrated our construction team’s hard work and dedication with a topping out ceremony. This significant milestone marks the completion of the building’s framing, an exciting moment for us all. Everyone deserves immense recognition for the talent and expertise they bring to this project, and we are grateful to have such an amazing team.
Having served the Orlando area for nearly 75 years, we are excited to continue to make a positive impact on Central Florida’s development with the Edyth. We have the pleasure of overseeing all construction of the Edyth, from demolition to building all the way through completion. John Jennings, Jack Jennings, and George Kirk are doing a phenomenal job overseeing and leading this project.
Ekta Prakash Desai at SchenkelShultz Architecture thoughtfully designed this building to honor the life and legacy of Edyth Bush and we are honored to bring her vision to life. With a glass facade, two-story atrium, and three levels, The Edyth’s layout mimics that of a theater to pay tribute to Mrs. Bush’s love and support of the arts. It will also offer ample space for community gatherings with meeting and event space, as well as a community board room with state-of-the-art technology, fostering a place of creativity and connection, and greatly expanding the Foundation’s ability to serve local nonprofit organizations.
We are honored Jack Jennings & Sons will be a part of the Foundation’s history and take great pride in building a significant addition to the Central Florida community from the ground up.
